Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions by the human being. To solve the problem of blood shortage in india and in the memory of our chief pattern smt Kamalamma and Sri C V Venkatarayappa , A voluntary blood donation camp is organized in our campus. An appreciable response was observed when a healthy number of students, staff members along with their families and well-wishers of our beloved chairman turned up Voluntarily. Camp was organized under the leadership of of our beloved chairmen Mr.K.V.Naveen kiran and with the assistance of IRCS , Chickballapur. CAMP was inaugurated by Chickballapur superintendent of police Mr.Karthik Reddy.on this occation we had collected 1056 units of blood for which we have received a “ CERTIFICATION OF APPRECIATION” from IRCS Karnataka state Branch. On this occation felitation function is held to honour Mr.Guru who donated his blood on every blood donation camp organized in cvv capus and also we have honoured our IRCS Secretary Mr.Narayanachar for his contribution and dedicated service to IRCS Chickballapur. Our Institute work on a diverse range of social issues including Blood donation, distributing fruits to patients of government hospital Chickballapur, distributing cloths to students of Gurukulashram. In many major surgeries and trauma emergencies the use of whole blood is now well accepted. Blood transfusion has been responsible for saving millions of lives each year around the world. Yet the quantity and quality of blood pool available for transfusion is still a major concern across the globe, especially in the developing countries.

With increase in population and development of more advanced medical and surgical procedures, the need for blood is ever increasing. Only voluntary blood donors can help to maintain an adequate supply of blood to save the lives of those who in need.

Sport in Our Life

Everyone loves sports stars. They look great, they appear on television and like rock stars, and they perform with the entire world watching. No wonder young adults make heroes out of their favorites. Great athletes teach us more than how to swing a bat or dunk a basketball. In the face of seemingly impossible challenges they teach us that success -- whether on the basketball court or in the classroom -- takes dedication, confidence, and a hefty dose of hard work.

At KVTP ,Sports are given a very important preference and participation in sports should always be encouraged.

Industry Institute Interaction Cell

In a technologically growing world, industry institute interaction is the epicenter of a technical institute. With the advent of globalization and opening up of Indian economy to outside world, competition among the industries has become stiff. There is an urgent need of interaction of industry and academics, where academic industries can prepare students for suitable jobs, henceforth industry will be benefited by receiving well trained work force. For this to become reality, bridging the gap between industry and academic institute is a must. Hence, IIIC was established.

At KVTP ,Industry Visits and Industry Interactions are given a very important preference and participation to all students always been encouraged.

Objectives

1. To identify and facilitate guest lecturer interactive workshops, faculty development programs, seminars, technical discussions etc with members of the industry, outside experts, eminent personalities at regular intervals.

2. To conduct industrial teaching, orientation courses, industrial visits etc for faculty and students at regular intervals. To cultivate strong links with industry.

3. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the institute and industries for strategic partnership.

4. To identify continuing education opportunities, short term programmes and training needs of the industry, which the institution can provide.

Go Green Intitiative

A greener workplace can create environmental awareness, with the added benefits of creating a healthier and more productive workplace.

Environment and sustainable development have become a buzz word today. With the growing environmental problems around us, policy makers have realized that tackling these problems must involve the large scale participation of the society. It therefore becomes essential to sensitize the people regarding various environmental issues. Environment education in schools and colleges is seen by many as a necessary tool for making people aware regarding these issues and inculcating environmental values in them.

KVTP organized a talk on Air pollution control , Environmental awareness and Climate Change by DR.RAVI , Deputy General Manager Karnataka State Pollution control Board Bangalore and Mr Madhusudhan General Manager Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Chickballapur.

Dr. Ravi explained to the Students the science behind climate change. He started the talk with a growing environmental problems around us and about Air pollution , because Air pollution is one of the biggest threats for the environment and affects everyone: humans, animals, crops, cities, forests, aquatic ecosystems… It is certain, however, that anthropogenic involvement is creating an imbalance in Earth’s ecology which will lead to drastic changes in the climate. Our activities are altering the hydrological cycle, cloud formation. Our claiming that “Climate Change” is a myth doesn’t change the fact that human activities are not in harmony with the nature. There is enough evidence that many of the so-called “development” activities have caused serious damage to the ecology and the rate at which these activities are growing is alarmingly high. Therefore, it is important for all of us to realize that the planet we are thriving on will not be able to sustain life if we don’t put a halt to the activities which are potentially detrimental to our mother Earth.

A tree plantation drive was held in our campus .A total of 100 saplings have been planted inside the campus. This event saw a widespread participation from the student’s community.
